Deep-dive follow-up to the July 3 wiring video, telling the design reasoning and dead ends behind the already-built 12V power rail and its six junction boxes: a repurposed damaged extension cord chosen for its wire, cable glands sized first by caliper before any CAD work, and a roughly four-print Bambu Lab/Onshape iteration cycle that solved a self-locating lid problem. Pays off the aviation-connector (GX16) pivot in full with real footage of the failed attempt before switching to a barrel connector, and confirms this 12V DC rail uses no grounding anywhere in the build. Also advances, but does not resolve, the electronics enclosure story: the six enclosures originally had wiring passing straight into the box permanently, which Josue found made servicing or swapping a sensor too difficult, so he pulled the first one back off and is redesigning around panel-mounted JST connectors instead. A parallel sensor potting test (3D-printed housing, PTFE membrane over the sensing element, silicone-potted) has its first test piece made but not yet opened for evaluation. Closes with a multimeter verification confirming all six junction box connections are solid.
